The house

Fifteen years of one standard

Since 2011 we have made the most distinctive custom garments in Salt Lake City — and we were the first clothiers to bring authentic Made-in-Japan tailoring to the United States. Our tailors in Hirakata draft your pattern by hand and cut every garment to it. The result is clothing exceptional enough that clients come back again and again.

The process

Three fittings’ worth of intent

I. Design with intent

Your suit — and by extension your whole wardrobe — should be designed deliberately. We guide you to versatile choices that maximize your closet, not just one garment.

II. Made in Japan

Our tailors in Osaka draft your pattern and construct your garments over six to eight weeks, depending on the cloth you select.

III. Fit, kept for life

Adjustments are made locally and reflected on your pattern. From then on, choose a Smith product and cloth in the Atelier, see the final price, and confirm.

A product, not a package
