These terms cover the smithbespoke.com website, the booking form, the chat, and the Atelier — the private client portal. Using them means you accept these terms. Smith Bespoke is a bespoke tailoring house in Salt Lake City, Utah; "we" and "us" mean Smith Bespoke, and "you" means the person using the site.
Appointments
Booking a fitting through this site reserves a time on our calendar. A fitting is an hour, it costs nothing, and it obliges you to nothing. If a time cannot be held for any reason we will contact you to arrange another. Please tell us if you cannot make an appointment, so the time can go to someone else.
Text messages and chat
The chat window on this site carries what you write to the shop's own phone so a person can answer. Replies appear in your browser; you are not signed up for text messages by using it, and we do not send marketing texts.
If you give us your mobile number so we can reach you about a fitting or a garment, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. How we handle your number is set out in our Privacy Policy; in short, we never share it for anyone's marketing.
Please do not send us anything unlawful, abusive, or belonging to someone else through the chat, and do not use it to send bulk or automated messages. We limit how quickly messages can be sent, and we may end a conversation that is abusive.
The Atelier
If we have made something for you, you have an account on this site. It is yours alone. Sign-in works by a one-time link sent to your email address, so keep your email secure — anyone with access to it can reach your room. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has got in.
What you find there — your pattern, your measurements, your order history — is a record we keep to serve you. Please do not attempt to reach another client's room, probe the site's security, or copy the site's contents by automated means.
Orders, cloth, and prices
An order placed or requested through the Atelier is an instruction to make something for you, and becomes binding when we confirm it. Bespoke garments are cut to your pattern and cannot be resold, so an order that has been cut cannot be cancelled. Cloth is a natural material bought in limited lengths: a cloth can sell out between the moment you choose it and the moment we reserve it, and if that happens we will tell you and help you choose another.
Prices shown are in US dollars and may change; the price that governs is the one confirmed when your order is placed. Delivery times quoted — typically six to eight weeks from the mill — are honest estimates, not guarantees. Cloth, the workroom's calendar, and shipping all move.
Payment
Payments are processed by Square. We never see or hold your full card number. If you keep a card on file, it is held in Square's vault and used only to pay for something you have asked us to make.
Fit, alterations, and remakes
Fit is the point of bespoke. Alterations to a garment we have made are done locally and reflected on your pattern, and are part of the work rather than an extra service. If a garment is wrong because we made it wrong, we will put it right — remade if that is what it takes. If you would like something different from what you asked for, that is a new garment, and we will price it as one.
Our work and our images
The photographs, text, and design on this site belong to Smith Bespoke. Please do not reproduce them commercially without asking. Cloth imagery belongs to the mills who wove it and is shown here under their terms.
What we do not promise
We keep this site running as carefully as we can, but it is offered as it is: we do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of error. Calendar availability shown on the site reflects our calendar at the moment you look, and a time is only yours once confirmed.
To the extent the law allows, Smith Bespoke is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this site, and our liability for any garment is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, and any dispute belongs to the courts of Salt Lake County, Utah.
Changes
We may revise these terms; the date at the top will say when. Changes apply going forward, never to an order already confirmed.
